![Christina Mallica, a scientist who is a part of the TNC coral outplanting team, dives into the water to prepare to collect corals (Acropora cervicornis) from an existing coral nursery that TNC has worked on over the past several years. On this dive, the scientists collected the remaining corals from the trees and cleaned the trees. They cut the corals from the trees and put them in baskets to bring back to the surface and transport to the outplant site.
